With majorities in the House of Delegates and State Senate, Virginia Democrats were able to redraw the Commonwealth’s U.S. House of Representatives districts to give their party an advantage. On February 5, party leaders released a proposed map and the State Supreme Court decided not to address the illegal maneuver until after the April 21st referendum.
The Virginia Public Access Project or VPAP has a website for how Virginia's congressional districts would change under the proposed maps. For more information on redistricting in Virginia go to this link: https://www.vpap.org/redistricting/2026/
